Since taking over as manager of the Bluewater Wood Alliance cluster in the fall of 2012, Mike has lead and directed its development from 25 members at that time to over 100 members today. This included the expansion of the cluster region from Grey/Bruce/Huron/Perth to include all of Southwestern Ontario. Responsible for the management of strategic projects, partnerships, outreach, business development, delivery of events, and networking best practices between members, Mike also facilitates board governance and provides senior leadership to the organization. Mike’s 30+ years of industry experience includes the development and facilitation of manufacturing consortium communities throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This is rounded by his experience in public and private sectors in Canada and overseas. Mike also works as a part-time professor at Georgian College, delivering courses in Business and Administration, and Communications, and General Education to all program areas of the college. Mike has achieved a Masters Degree (MAIS dual major) in Adult Education, and Work, Organization, Leadership from Athabasca University, a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Science and Applied Human Studies from the University of Guelph, and several other certifications including Human Resources Management.
